Just my opinion, don't let it spoil your day.
It will be reversible. It's purely weight saving for competition use.

I have 2 choices.

1) buy another car and get it into a condition that makes it competitive, which will cost as much as an SE.

2) Use my SE.

I went down the first route with a cheap front drive hatch, which cost somewhere in the region of £15,000 or ($30,000 US).

My SE is not worth that kind of money.

Stinaris, any chance of some pics of your SE? Always keen to see UK based SEs, I only know of 3. Angus Fox's silver one, Nick Skudder's old black one (old in the sense of he has since sold it) and another silver one owned by a chap called Colin.

One black SE was destroyed few years ago by BA airport parking service driver. There should be something in archives and there was web page with pictures but its most likely gone now.

This one has belonged to Angus Fox also.
Glad to know he has bought a silver one since.

didn't it dyno the other day at 346bhp (crank) ? not bad for a stock SE. Would love to see what the dyno experts on here make of that one!

Here are some pictures of it going around Lydden in October.
Sadly my tyres are 8 years old and very rubbish so my times weren't great, but it was a rush getting it ready as I'd laid it up for 2 years and had a crappy MAF which John Speake sorted for me.

cool pics, thanks. How come you have a single S4 type tailpipe? I thought the SEs had a twin one like the GT.

I have both, actually thinking about putting the double back on for a change.

I get bored quickly, what can I say

The two stickers have just arrived.
I have ordered them at mittelmotor (www.mittelmotor.de).
Thank you for the link.

These are original Porsche parts.
