Thumbs up

Here are some hard numbers to play with:

My car: '88 S4 A/T - 120K miles

Mods: Ott Dual Cat Exhaust with X-over/ 2.5"; DEVEK RRR;

Weight w/driver, 1/2 tank gas, no floor mats or spare tire: 3651lbs.

HP/Tq:266.35HP/290.57 ft lbs.

Best E/T 1/4 mile: 14.24 @ Seattle Int'l Raceway, which I would assume is pretty close to Sea Level.

I was manually shift at redline, except 1st-2nd, which automatically shifted at 5K rpm.

With the G-Tech, I got the following results:

0-60: 5.5 sec
1/4 Mile: 13.6 @ 114 MPH

I have made some mods to the fuel system and the 0-60 reflects these mods, but the 1/4 mile numbers do not (have not retested it since).

I don't really care what the times are. I think drag racing a Porsche is rather silly, but nonetheless it was fun to get some straight line performance numbers for the car. The car has enough power for the street, that is all I really need to know. Since I made the mods, I would geuss I have another 30 HP give or take. If I had to guess, I would say it is right around 13 flat at 115 MPH, after my modifications that is.

I agree. I was just curious if this formula was realistic to a degree.

Thanks for the replies.
