Ok I did a couple of searchs and it looks like I might have a bad oil level warning light sending unit. So whereabouts is this located?
I'd like to connect & disconnect measure it to see if its ok. Figure I can change it at Sharktoberfest, but I wanted to check with the group before I drive it that far.
Oil level warning light flickers but the oil level is fine (didn't have to add any). Also I the pressure guage is working and the oil pressure warning light isn't coming on. I figure if the pump wasn't working I'd have a oil pressure warning light first.
Am I worng to think that it's just the sending unit?
Thoughts?

You will find it on the front upper part of oil pan. It is secured by 3 8mm (i think) bolts. The sending unit has 1 wire to it. On the unit itself there is one wire that is soldered. When float contact it sends warning. Perhaps the internal wire is kaput.

Ok I think I've got other problems. It looks like the charging system isn't working. Crapy rotten timing is all I can say with Sharktoberfest this weekend.

I was going to say check the charging, when it is low then it does make the oil light flicker.
BTW, the oil level warning only shows when you switch on; it does not show if you are losing oil during driving.
