It'll be about 2 years till I get the car into the paint shop and have the front bumper cover replaced, so until then I would like to put a bra on the front.
Does anyone know who makes/sells a 2 piece bra? Already have earmuffs. I'll try an did up a pic of the bra I like.

That's also my current / next project. I am going to repaint the front nose and at this point I have sanded the old finish off and am filling in a small hole with the appropriate filler.
I bought a bra for my car from 928 International and it works great... you can't see where the work is being done. Just make sure of the usual cleaning practices with these things and take them off when they get wet.

Rob, did you get the Porsche OEM bra or an aftermarket? I've got a single piece aftermarket bra and do not like to looks of it. Plus, it's a hassle to remove it to open the hood.

Colgan makes them for Porsche. You can get the 2pc set from 928 Specialist. About 100 bucks if i recall.
Be forwarned by though. You may have to adjust your hood so that the hood latch will work properly after you install the hood piece. I found out the hard way and snapped then hood latch backing plate trying to force it open after I installed the bra set.

Kb,
I still have one available, bought it new from 928 specialists, never been on the car. For sale if you are interested. Or get one from the big 3. not expensive either way.

John,
No kidding... you are correct about checking on the fit. Another thing with mine (it is a Colgan) was that it was tighter than a snare drum when I first installed it. I must have yelled every dirty word in the book while I was trying to get that sucker on my car. Now, I can put it on in about 1 minute.
It's nice though, nobody knows that I am working on the car. Come to think of it, seeing a Porsche with primer on it is like the whole "Elephant Graveyard" thing. You never see it, but you know it's being done... by someone and somewhere.
My next item is to purchase an HVLP system to do the actual paintwork once the bodywork is complete.
