Post Quick Tyre Question

PO had S4 8 inch rims mounted with 225/50 16

The manuals show the S4 used 245/45 16 on the 8 inch rims, Should I leave these on or should I replace them with new tires ? They are brand new.

Car is 83S

Thanks
Richard

The S4's needed more rear tire mainly for the increased power they offered, so "no" you don't need to put 245/45's back there if you don't want to.

The overall rolling diameter is almost exactly the same.

If you don't mind the look and handling of those skinny tires, I'd say run 'em 'til you need new ones.

Personally, I like wide rubber (I've got 275/40/17 on the rear).

thanks for the input,

Randy I think I'll take your advise and keep them until I find a new rim I like and then put new tires on. thanks
