Same thing that downed Jean-Louise some time ago, wasn't it?
Went down that road myself!
Did the car have the modified higher flow FD running on it?

The part looks like a simple adapter or plumbing fitting. The trick is that it actually has a fine screen in it. Mine was plugged. Yes I do have the higher flow FD on the car. I'm looking for long term reliablity so I have now replaced just about everything in this car. It should be good for another 28 years now.

Test runs on event day were in the rain on leaf covered streets. I took it out yesteday in the dry and the car just screams. I'm excited

Tass gave me a ride in the "never-lost-a-race" track car, and it was very cool. The Kirkey seats are comfortable, and with no sunroof I had 3+" of headroom. He needs to post a few more pics of it with interior pics.
Good stuff for sure.

I hear there is a couple of track days at Lime Rock this weekend. Even if you only went down for the taste of the track on Saturday, I am sure you would have fun....

A few more pictures.

This is an ex-Scott Mohr cab if I didn't hear wrong. A real beaut.

The 12,000 mile beauty from Boston. Chocolate exterior and pristine brown pasha seats.

CIS test and tune. And who else to supervise than Jay Kempf.

Would have loved to meet Gretch. We had some great chili by the hearth.

I wanted to pop into this thread for a second - and just say....

1) Ummm - how come I wasn't invited..??!! All you 928 folks didn't need me to show up as the "parts hauler" in my 993?? I'm just a little "put-off" - but - well - I'll guess I'll get over it... Next year...

2) Sometimes - some folks - well, a few folks - "step outside the box" and do something I refer to as a "random act of kindness". Totally unexpected. Recently - one of you, did just that... Hence - the real reason for this post...

I just received an e-mail - totally unexpected. And - it kind of floored me. So - I thought I'd take a minute and just tell you about it. That e-mail started by telling me they had collected a few dollars for expenses at this event. Really - though, they didn't want to keep those dollars, as they enjoyed having other 928 owners from Rennlist at their house, and just doing what they have done for a few years - for other 928 owners. It was their pleasure.

So - rather then keep the money, they put together a PayPal to Rennwish in the amount that was collected - and sent it over, just because they could. And they did. And I am bold over - not only that they did it - but they did something totally unexpected.....

For that - I don't have much I can thanks folks with when they "step outside the box" and perform a "random act of kindness", except this....

Dave - you are now a Lifetime Rennlist Member. Life Memberships are not for sale - they can not be bought - and it is only a small token of Jenn's and my appreciation, and it is what we are "able to give".

You Sir - are what make 928 owners and Rennlist just a little more "special". And our thanks for doing something very special, expecting nothing in return - but making a huge difference to a cause in a little country, with a group of kids - in Haiti...

It really is that simple as you and Flo simply "stepped outside the box".....

My thanks, Dave & Flo - and to all who were at this event....

John

Hey John,

We would have gladly welcomed you, sorry you didn't feel invited. If you come we might make you sit in a 928 and get your picture taken though.

As for Tass (Dave) he is truly a great guy. We try and give him some money for his hospitality, and what does he do, but give it to Rennwish. His generosity is wonderful but not surprising to me

Dave and Flo had even chopped their food/hospitality cost in half from original estimates.
And still made sure we were well fed/lubed. The fires were stoked to keep us warm.
Anyone who needed the lift had a chance.

The Tassinari's are just wonderful.

PS. CONGRATULATIONS, Dave Tass.

How early can we kick of the season then...April?
:-)

Very nice gestures, the caliber of folks on this forum is significantly ...more impressive than what I've fun into on others.

Ummmmmm..........

Dave...?????

Ummmmm......

You do realize that your are asking a 993/964/'68 911 owner to a 928 TECH session????

OK - sure.. Exactly what do you want me to go over on a 928? (BTW - you'll have to at least open the hood that the engine hides under - or back the 928 into the garage - so I can find it... )

Seriously - you and Flo deserve it. Simply read this thread to know why...

My Best Always,

John
