Default Scurry idle noise, vibration through accelerator pedal

Got my car back from service yesterday; with a couple of symptoms it didn't have when I handed it in.

When idling, a sort of scurry/squeaky noise is heard from somewhere in the engine bay. Can be heard both inside and out of the car.

Can't hear it when driving, but can feel sharp stabs of vibration through the accelerator pedal when driving over bumps or unevenness in the road surface. Most pronunced under 2000rpm, but also present above, although it seems to take bigger dips/bumps to provoke it.

I'm thinking (fearing) motor mounts, but what do you guys think ?

P.S. Workshop didn't have to do much; new oil/filter, new sparkplugs, new front brake pads, so big disassembly jobs performed.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
Erling

I've had a similar vibration through the accellerator pedal if the belly pan was ajar and making
metal to metal contact somewhere on it's surface. Adjusting the pan made it go away.

Erling,

A possibility is that something it touching the belly pan something? Some of us had this. Solution is some rubber spacers between the pan en mounting points.

Thanks guys,

Just for clarification; I have two aluminium plates under the engine for underside protection. Is that what you guys call the belly pan ?

Know that the workshop had these off, so perhaps it could be the source of at least one of the symptoms.

Cheeers,
Erling

you might want to check the belly pans, the heat shields, both at the manifolds and the header pipes, also have a look at the bottom of the oil pan you may need a new set of motor mounts . The bottm of the oil pan should be close to flush with bottom of the cross member, if is lower than that check the oil pan to crossmember clearance, the oil pan may be rubbing on the crossmember
