Question Head temperature sensor

Hallo. I have a problem. It (928GT '90) runs only ~10sec. then something happens and it feels like running on half cylinders looks like temperature sensor (92860615502). But how can I diagnose which sensor is bad. I think there are 2 of them on each side?

Thanks.

Look at the "igntion protection relay" which has a clear case. It is mounted on the same plate as the LH and EZK ECUs. Start the engine, wait for it to revert to 4 cyl mode and you will see a red or green LED light up, visible through the clear case.

Green LED means cyl 3 is running cool
Red LED means cyl 7 is running cool

Thanks John. But are there two or four sensors, I mean one sensor on each side cyl 7 and one sensor on each side cyl 3?
Thanks.

Yes, correct. Earlier cars had the sensors on 4 and 8. The later cars like your has them on 3 and 7.

You can bypass the relay to assist fault finding. Link relay pins A1 and A2 to 87 (do not mistake A1 for AL)
