Default Rear hatch needs adjustment

Hey guys I just did the rear hatch lock rebuild that Bill put on here and my lock now works great. What a super tutorial. The only thing I've got left is to adjust the rear lock so the hatch doesn't open when you pull up on it. Can anyone tell me how to adjust it so it locks down tight and secure? It's on my 81. Thanks, Jason

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the rear hatch can be adjusted. All you have to do is loosen the lower allen heads screws and move the lower hatch bracket to the rear of the car to tighten up the hatch lock. I did it and it works great. The hatch is no longer able to be pulled on and opened

Ah, good. I haven't seen any space between the lower hatch receiver plate and the rear lip. Maybe all the ones I have seen were adjusted rearward.

I just loosened my bolts and it slid 1/4" to 1/2". Works great Jason
