Default Belt tension light

I have just finished rewiring the rear of my car. I basically replaced the whole wiring harness that goes from the fuse panel to the tailights and everything in between. 2 days ago, I'm warming the car up for the first time since the rewiring and 2 things happen. The belt tension light comes on and the temperature gauge isn't working. Also, my voltmeter is reading way below normal, but it has always acted screwy. Is there a link between the temp sensor wiring and the belt tension sensor wiring? Keep in mind that to replace the rear harness, I had to disconnect a lot of other harnesses in the passenger side kick panel including the computer, fuse panel and parts of the engine harness to fish my new harness in. Just to be clear, I'm not ruling out the possibilty that I may have a loose timing belt, and I have no intention of driving or cranking this car until I fix the problem. I am planning on checking the timing belt tension this weekend. I just think it is a little ironic that the temp gauge doesn't work also. What I'm looking for is a connection between the temp gauge and the belt tension light. It looks like they run in the same harness and probably enters the firewall on the pasenger side close to where I was working. I am assuming that if the belt tension sensor wire was disconnected, that the light would come on. Also, when the belt tension light does come on, the ! light comes on also, but I can reset it and the ! goes off. I didn't think I would able to reset that light because the belt tension is a serious issue. Any leads or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I will leave the rest to the experts, but the belt tension warning is resettable and considered a Group B warning, along with low coolant or bad stop lamps. So, that you could turn off the warning ! is correct.

Nevermind, found the problem. When I put the fuse panel back in, I put the "K" harness in the "R" connection slot. Luckily the "R" slot isn't used so I didn't short anything out.
