Dan,
I wish I would know how to get a hold of him as well.
I actually bought a parts car from him a while ago and we were still swapping and shipping back and forth some parts, and then all of a sudden nothing...no phone, no email. Kind of sad, first because he is a really nice guy and I got to meet him in person once and we wanted to get together again, and second because there are some parts of that car that he still has and I need as I move along with my project, otherwise I will have a hell of a time finding odds and ends.
But so far I have not heard from him in quite some time, probably 5-6 months or so...:-(
Maybe someone else heard anything from him....his name on the list is "Juvius" byt the way...

Dave,
I appreciate you being mad, but in this case I think it is more circumstance than intent. I had many conversations with Steve while he was installing the new transmission in his car. He was fresh out of the Navy and having a hard time finding a job. Worse when he got a job his ex-wife started taking a large chunk of his check.
From the last conversations I sensed he was falling off the deep end. Since this is a community maybe someone in the area can look him up and see if all is well. He is in Ohio - I think I had his old address. His father works for the GM dealer in the area as a mechanic. It was a small town where he lived so it should not be much of a problem finding the agency and determining if someone of the same last name works there.

Not sure why, but I also have a feeling that there is something more to it than that. Steve is definitely a decent guy, my people-senses have not failed me often in life.
I am in about the same boat as you are, DJC, I am missing intake runners and some other parts for an engine I bought from him, as well as the clutch setup for my '81 and some interior parts. I wanted to drive down to Ohio or meet him halfway as I had some parts that he had a use for as well. I shipped him a Fender a while ago, but shortly after that no more communication.
Yes, I do need these parts at some point, and from the looks of it, I guess I have to pay for them again, but I still would like to know that Steve is o.k, and nothing too crazy or bad is going on in his life...I used to talk sharks with the guy on the phone for a half an hour every other day, and all of a sudden nothing...seems odd.

Steve is a good guy. He hit some very hard times. I have not heard from him in a long time. I know any "shafts" he given anyone was not intentional.. Hell the guy drove my 85 from CA to OH for me, then he gave me a torque tube and rear dog bones and spent a day helping me put it all in... thats the last time I saw him. He's a good guy to have a beer with and get in trouble with... Im sure he will be back
