Greetings -
I've got one out of an '87 that I'm going to sell - it has a cracked cylinder, but is complete - and not in a million pieces.
The engine is in Las Vegas. If interested, please PM me

I just read your other post a minute ago, where you heard metal-to-metal contact. I'm curious:
a) Have you done more investigation to determine what happened to your engine? or
b) Have you just written it off?
If your current engine suffered timing failure and the pistons smashed the valves, go back to Big Dave's post in your other thread and click on the link in his signature. In a nutshell: new valves and guides or simply used/rebuilt heads, no engine replacement necessary.
If a bolt, nut, or washer found it's way down the intake ports and wound up in the combustion chamber, it could mean a little damage or a completely destroyed engine - a Rennlister who had this happen found a nut-shaped hole in the piston crown, a nut-shaped hole in the head surface, and a crack in the cylinder wall from the shock. Ouch!
These motors are $$$, as you no doubt have discovered. A set of used/rebuilt heads is a lot cheaper.
But I know some people like to have a running stock motor tossed into the car while they take the hurt motor into the deep dark garage and dump a load of money into building it into a modified monster...
