Post I'm passing on 928 with motor problems

I just thought you guys would like to know that I will be passing on the 928 with broken timming belts. His name in Louis and he may be reached at 678 393 0322 or 678 592 5251 located in north georgia. I guess I might just have to settle for a (gulp!) 944.

Don't settle for anything less than what you want! If you want a 928, get one. The right one may not be an easy find. However, once you do; you will be glad you did!!

Question

Hey Moss928,
I really like the euro-style headlights on your shark. What did it take (parts & $$) to achieve such a great look?

check Ebay, you can find 928s there as well. If I was buying another Porsche, I would get a 944 turbo way before a 928 (unless a S4 or GT was available real chaep)....less maintenance and an all around better car. Not quire as good of performance, but handles great and looks great too.

Well, I just got back from viewing the car.

It's an 85 AT. Blue without side rub strips. I took pictures if anyone is interested. The interior was a bit rough. The seats, pod and dash were cracked. Carpet was very good, though.

Quite a tale of woe. Two different mechanics missed the inside of belt shredding and finally slipping off completely. There was shredded belt particles all over. Pretty sad.

Add to this a not so great re-paint.

You were smart to walk away from that car.
