Post Another big 3 rating

Just to show I'm not an ***, I wanted everyone to know how incredibly helpful David at 928 Specialists has been in my quest to swap manifolds. He gave me a great price on the parts (less than half of what Devek wanted) and assured me that he would do all he could (and he so far he has) to get all the right bits and pieces to finish the task.

Thanks 928 Specialists!

Also, I've had great sucess with 928 International. Every time I ordered from them, the stuff got sent right away. Just how I like it. I want that instant gratification for my $$. Only complaint about them is the prices are a tad high on a lot of stuff. If they lowered the prices a little, they would undoubtedly sell more and thus end up with the same amount of profit or perhaps even more. I heard a story recently about someone who wanted an unnamed $60 part from Intl and checked the local Porsche dealer, $64. No brainer. Get it now and no shipping for $4. Sale lost.

Anyways, I'm glad the big 3 are there. Good 'ol American competition.

Hi Chris,

I agree with you about 928 Specialists. David and Jeannie are both great. They have loaned me parts, and taken them back later when my troubleshooting efforts eliminated the need for the parts. Dave gives very good advice. Wally P responds to our web based questions. I have never found better prices at another Big 3 location.

I think your other post is a bit extreme. However, some companies bug me too. I did some comparative shopping, and asked for advice from someone at Devek. Her prices were much higher than 928 Specialists. Of course, I did not buy from her. I must have taken up too much of her time. When I called back during business hours over the next few days, nobody would answer the telephone. Do you think they have caller ID? I bet they would be more helpful the more money I would spend there. I do not blame them for that at all. But, it does leave a bad taste.

Hey guys,

I responded to Chris928 other post and again, I’m not siding with anyone here and believe me I do have an opinion and occasionally annoy others with it often but leaving a business phone go unanswered is “UN-ACCEPTABLE PERIOD” and I can tell you if any of the other three did that I would drop them all like a bad habit and drive my little butt down to a local Porsche shop and pay premium price for at least a little service.

Again, I have no buying experience with Devek, none as of yet with 928 Specialists although they have some goodies on my list plus I really appreciate Wally P’s jumping in with answers whenever appropriate without trying to sell you something and 928 International receives nothing but 2-thumbs up.

But again remember, I don’t have an opinion here!

I too want to thank Wally Plumley for his generosity in helping out
other 928'ers (and myself!) with technical expertise on a regular
basis. If there was such a thing in the cyber-928 community, Wally
would definitely be on my ballot as "Most Valuable Player". Thanks Wally!!

Like Tim said, my experience with 928 International over the
past several years has been outstanding. NEVER a single problem,
GREAT service, fast and very professional in all respects. A definite
"2 thumbs up", even if the icon only lets me show one thumb! <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
