Default Ready to supercharge need input

I finally made the decision to supercharge my 81'. Don't get me wrong it's fun and has more than enough power, but now that I have replaced the headgaskets and just about everything else in the motors top end I want more. I'm ready to buy a supercharger kit and have been researching for awhile. I really like Carl's setup from 928 motorsports, but I would love to run a twin screw. I've seen alot of issues here on the forum with the powerdyne unit? They seem to have to be rebuilt often. Is it even possible to run a twin screw on a 16V L-jet 4.5L. I need some input before taking the plunge.

Thanks

As a prospective SC person myself, I'm under the understanding that twin screw kits are for 32V cars only. Carl's 16V kits are made by Tim Murphy.

Please pardon if I'm mistaken here. In that this is a SC thread, it will be replete with input.

Good luck!

Well, you are mistaken, but that's okay. We like you anyway.

The 16v kits that Carl sells are made by Carl.

I've heard rumors of a twin screw setup for a 16V for years, but haven't seen anything yet? Is there a mechanical reason why no one has attempted running a TS charger?

There is no reason you can't run a TwinScrew on a 16V.

Ah! My mistake DR, I thought you were only running them on the 32V. Are your kits available yet? Any chance you could fill me in at the Frenzy?

Thanks
Tristan

Kits not available yet. Be happy to talk with you at the Frenzy. If I can finish a few other things in the next day or so I may even bring it there. It was also at SITM earlier this year.
