I have a light gray interior for a 93 GTS with black tubing, does anyone know how to find the interior code for colors ? I just need to know if this interior from the 93 is the same gray made for the 88's.
Does anyone have a link or can post a list of decodes of the interior trim codes? It's easy to find exterior paint colours and option lists but I've never found a list of interior codes despite spending too many hours on 928 and Porsche sites!

there are actual official Porsche color code books, Nicole has a set and I know someone here in NC with a set... hmmm, guess I have a new project
so I spoke to my guy at Porsche this am, the "official" books for the years covering 928 production are about $700.... gonna try to borrow the local set I know of and scan them
edit: local owner will lend me his almost complete set of books, give me a month or so and I'll scan them and try to create some type of online access to make them available
Well I believe Rixter was absorbed by his scanner ?? !!
Its a pity because I want to know what grey colour is used for, among others, the steering wheel in a 89 S4 car with interior colour code YS. Is it : 1255, Achatgrau or 1235, Steingrau or 1215, Klassikgrau or Any input is welcome

OK the "tubing" is called piping.
I dont know exactly what people are concerned with a code for interior colors for. But if you are trying to recolor something , you should
A: dig under and in the seat or door panels and fing a piece of material that hasnt been exposed which will show the origional color, then have it matched at a auto paint store with leather/vinyl color
B: unless you are recoloring everything in the interior, you should take the part of material, like the seat or door panel to the shop and have them match to the used, faded color, because this will blend with the whole used interior, not look like a new section in a faded interior.
