Gretch,
I've put ~10K miles on the engine now (car has ~57K). Truly amazing is the best description I can give you.
I use this as a daily driver, commuting ~30 miles each way (65% highway/35% city). In traffic, it's very tractible and well behaved. I typically get ~18.5 - 19 mpg. Pure freeway, best recordation to date has been 21.6 mpg for a tank of gas.
Torque available is astounding. Period. This car has 'walked' away (in many cases 'run') from SO many annoying rice rockets and wanna-be muscle cars. Wish I had a $1 for every smile it has brought to my face!

Hmmm.....Thinking about this a bit, not sure if that's the kind of info (functional) that you were after.
This engine was built/installed by the crew at DEVEK. Quantitative info can be seen here
Dyno Run
Scroll down to the 1989 GT w/6.5 liter DEVEK stroker kit, stock heads, stock exhaust (no headers). Note that this is A dyno run and was done BEFORE headers and exhaust.

How do you get to 6.5 liters? The 5.0 with the kit get you to 6.0, where does the other .5 of a liter come from? over boreing to the next piston size?
