Default 928 SOUGHT IN DENVER,CO FOR MOVIE

Is there anybody who lives in or near the Denver,CO area that can help with a small problem. Lewis Johnsen, a documentary producer working on the film "Quest for Risky Business 928", is recording exhaust sounds for his documentary and needs a stock exhaust setup to properly record the 928 rumble (No....the RMB cannot be used..LOL!). Here's an e-mail Lewis sent to me today:

Andy,
I need help finding a local 928 owner. I need to find someone in the Denver, Colorado area that has a 1978 thru 1982 928 with the stock exhaust system. The RB car has a cheapo replacement on it so I cant use it. I want to include a segment in the film about how the sound was created for the RB movie and show everyone where the leak was in the middle muffler that created the louder raspy sound that was used. Can you help? Do you know of anyone in Colorado that wants the bottom of their car to be in a movie?
Lewis

Please contact me if you live in the greater Denver,Colorado area and own a 928 with a stock exhaust system. I will then put you in touch directly with Lewis. You can also e-mail me at: rennsport@sympatico.ca

Thanks.....again!

There are about a dozen 928's in the Denver area and most are late models, dad's '87 just got an RMB so that rules his out.

PM/email 'Cambria", he should be able to put you in contact with the right car.

Sorry...my memory is broken. I knew the sound was piped in. I recently watched RB again. You can tell. Evidently came from another 928 though (with a hole in the exhaust)..if you believe everything you read.

The exhaust and engine sounds were dubbed from another Porsche 928 that had a hole in its rear muffler, therefore created much louder sound that a stock 928.

This is a very cool project and I hope someone can get this done for the producer. If no early 928 has a stock exhaust, maybe 928 International can provide one to be installed in a early 928 for this part.

The movie "Risky Business" raised the people's awareness of a 928 to a very high level and I have had more than a few people comment about our car being the same one as in that movie. I have also been told that movie enticed some to get a 928 later in life due to that 928 making such an impact on them.

Seems that this is a worthwhile cause and one that will raise the publics awareness for our car of choice again.

Andy,

Tell the producer if he can't find one in Colorado we have a few in Florida that can be found to fill this part.

Cheers,
Constantine

Andy, did you PM Cambria?

Swapping an RMB is pretty easy, it just might be worth it to him for "bragging rights"!
