I'll be there for most of the event, hope to see some other sharks there. Mazda asked me to arrange the cars for the driver's parade before the race, so on Saturday, I'll be in my Miata, but will probably be in the 928 the other days.

 

I'm coming but, I'm not sure if it will be in my 951 or my wife's 928. We just got the 928 Monday and I think she would like to take it. OR we just might come down in seperate cars!!

These aren't very good pics.

 

Yeah, they load up the pole sitters in each class in Miatas and we take them for a lap for the fans to see immediately before the race. I had the misfortune of having to haul the beauty queen around in the track instead of a smelly driver, such is my luck. I helped Mazda out with a number of events over the years, they know who to call if there's something in Atlanta and they need 15-20 cars, plus, kick in free 4 day passes w/ a nice gift basket, meals, drinks, and parking for everyone who helps me out. Heck of a deal for renting them a car for one lap.

Nice gathering so far, there were at least five 928s yesterday, only ran into a few of the other owners. Heading out to the track now!

 

I'll be up there today..

 

It was great getting to meet Kim, EdMD and his wife Sherri (sp?) and also SeaCay.

My truck got towed though.... Din't even know I parked in a unauthorized spot. No harm no foul since they simply took it to a holding area and charged me nothing. In fact, they did me a favor because I was able to exit without getting caught up in the carnage of people trying to leave.
