I think the Reno SQR was factory for the 88S4. I'm not sure of the Toronto - I know it's been used as a good looking replacement for tape deck units.

Are you referring to the steering wheel airbag "reels" when you mention the clocksprings?

Also, do you know if anybody has successfully performed this mod on the newer 2nd Gen airbags? Please let me know.

Andy - do a search here - a number of people have put 996 wheels in their 928s. yes, what you refer to as 'reels'.
