Even at 255, I suspect the handling improvement would be significant vs. the stock 225's.

I have a set of 968 wheels with good tires on them. Nothing concours here... 7s and 8s I think by 16. They came on the GT I just bought, without spacers, so will fit a 928. Here is an example of one. Make me a good offer

I am running 265s on my new front wheels with no rubbing. I don't have full steering lock though.
9.5x18 et68 with 265/35/18. Lots of bite up front, you can carry more speed and start to notice how soft your suspension is.
p.s. my cup 2s I can run a 245 on the front with the 8" rim, you shouldn't run a 245 on a 7.5 or 7".

They do stick out just a bit. Not sure if I like that.
It looks like they stick out more when you see them from the side. But it's not too bad..
There is no rubbing. Tires are 265/30 and 235/35
You gotta see them, I need your professional opinion.
I might be there Sunday, it's the big one though, too busy.
I forgot to trickle the 348, so the battery is dead, If I come I'll bring the 928.
I will let you know

Fronts are 19x9 ET-50.
I'll have one of the rears off tonight to check it out. They are sweet wheels, just too heavy for the '95 993's suspension I think, and I need something super-light for competition. I already have some 18" factory turbo twists. I might sell those too... don't know yet. What I do know is I have two stacks of my garage that are just taking up space. LOL.

Chris, here's my concern. The car has obviously not been driven much since the tires were installed, so the suspension is still sitting a little high especially in front. The perfect settled height for the suspension has the a-arms level of course, or maybe just a tad higher. Not the best for those who like the nose-down ground-hugging chin spoiler and alternator eating look, though. So let's guess that it's probably going to drop an inch or so in the first 100 miles. Hmmm, about the ride over to VCR and back... Then how high do you want it to be when you are done? Consider that, especially with original shocks, you'll carry a concern about the tire rubbing the front fender when the suspension is compressed. We can do a tiny bit of rolling on the fender lip right at the top, similar to what the GT's have from the factory, but that only gains you maybe 1/4" of room. You'll decide how much lowering you can stand.
Good news is that the wrench for adjusting the springs is here in Glendale, and we also have the laser set-up here to trim the alignment once you decide where you want the car to ride. You could do yourself a HUGE favor by blasting the threads on all the spring adjusters first with WD-40 over a couple days, and then with BP Blaster for a few more days. That way you'll be able to turn the adjusting collars on the shock tubes with the suspension still loaded.
