Default I need a 5th gear or 28:05 gearbox

Does anyone have a good used 5th gear for a 1980-1982 or a core box?

I really only need the 5th gear but will take the whole box if you prefer. I'm sure you have a list of wants so lets trade.

Are you going to bring the complete trans or the 5th gear? I will check with my customer and see what his time line is.
Thanks

It would be easier for me to bring the entire box. Taking it apart would take longer. Though, I guess getting 5th gear out isn't THAT hard.

Why not replace it with a better box?

Actually getting 5th out requires disasemmbling the entire box.

****. I have pictures that I was looking at when I rebuilt my 78 box, and I remember pulling 5th out the front, but you are correct, that involved pulling all the gear selector rods, which means pulling the diff. me=

So you, knowing me, will get an entire 80 box, and we will deal from there. I may be messaging an unneeded part up to you from another well known sandieger lister as well. S2000= Parts running car.

The trans actually fits quite well in the trunk. So do 2 32V heads.

You can pull the input out without doing lots but you still need the counter gear.

That was my brain fart as I said on the phone. I forgot that part-matching wise, you would need both.

And thats why I will deliver to your door the complete box. See you sometime this week.

It was an 80 box but an early 80 box, which means that its a 28:03, and that means that Mark is still, I think, looking for what he needs.
