I have been contemplating about supercharging my 82 for a while now
but find mixed opinions about the Powerdyne superchargers. It seems that they are quite popular with the Mustang crowd. Some people on the Mustang forums claim that it is a great supercharger while others have had nothing but problems with theirs. I only site the Mustang forums as a source of opinions because I haven't found too many posts about powerdyne on this forum. The last thing that I want is to spend the money only to be plagued with constant troubles from the supercharger. Any advice and experiences from owners would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Joe

928 Motorsport's kit uses the powerdyne. I think a lot of people have used those kits and had good outcomes, but perhaps not everyone (see above). I have been kinda watching for one on ebay for a while. You do see an awful lot of rebuild kits and rebuild services for them there. I suspect that points towards a relatively short time between rebuilds. I would sort of guess that something like 5 to 10K miles it typical based just on what I see available in terms of rebuild kits and services. At least that is an idea that is in my head as I consider getting the tuners kit with a used one vs. the full kit with a new one.
