Automatic Transmission Hydraulic Pressure
Hi all!
I would look this up myself but don't have a copy of PET or the manuals here at my office.
I have a shop rebuilding one of my trans cooler lines and they need to know the peak operating pressure of the hydraulic system of the automatic transmission. They want to make sure they install the correct hose. Thanks!

I am getting ready to do the same. The WSM only has testing pressures for the '78-80 autos. I need the pressures for my '88 4 speed since I am getting transmission cooling lines rebuilt.

Pressures in reverse can reach 300psi; at stall speed, I would use a Burst pressure of 350psi. They should know this information just by looking at the old cooler line.
