PPI in Chicago - need recommendation
I need to have a PrePurchase Inspection done in the Chicago area. Does anyone have a recommendation? I have seen two 928 mechanics recommended in this area: Midwest Eurosport in Bensenville and Vaia Auto (Ron Vaia) in Chicago. Has anyone dealt with either of these? I am not is the Chicago area, so I am looking for some help.

I have dealt extensively with Midwest. They are GREAT, as long as you take the time to explain and talk to them about what you want. They do not usually work on 928s, but I do think that the guys there owuld take the time to deal with your specific situation. They would also be, I am sure, happy to take your own info (there are PPI checklists around here), to do the job well.
I spoke to Ron once, and he referred to me as "one of those do it yer-selfers" and refused to do an alignment for me.
Screw him then.

My '83 is a Zinnmetallic or Pewter metallic, but it was left at home in the garage today. You must have seen another one. Thanks for the input on Midwest Eurosport. I will give them a call.
