Dan, you might be on your own unless you make plans tonight.

JV's car:
When you come over the bridge, sharp left curve, and enter the paddock to the right. There are basically two lanes through the area. JV will be in the middle section (grassy area) before the perpendicular "pit in" lane.

We have a grill if you want to bring something to burn. And dinner afterwards for those interested. See you guys tomorrow.

When coming through "Main Street" Charlestown (shortly after the horse track), DO NOT SPEED! DO NOT SPEED! DO NOT SPEED!!!

John,

I thought we agreed never to speak of that again.

John,

I'm thinking it was an optical illusion based on parallax and my viewing angle because you were right there with the rest of them from what we could tell. I don't think I got your faster laps, which all happened after your tires warmed up and you looked more comfortable in laps 3+.

I wish I had gotten some video from that tower before the main straightaway. That would really have shown what your car can do.

I did get that part where the red car tried to pass you heading into the back straight: REJECTED!

That red car is one of the GT3's that I was checking out earlier, if I'm not mistaken. Notice how quickly he falls back after his first passing attempt, and how he's at roughly the same position in the following lap, but doesn't even try to pass. What he lost in the straights, he gained in the turns.
Even though it's much faster in the turns, it seems to be pretty hard for a set-up GT3 to pass a set-up 928 in the turns....and it was pretty hard to pass that set-up 928 in the straights (prior to the 'pulley spin'). This clip is a pretty good visual answering the question "How to make a GT3 equal" that was posted in another thread. How do you make an apple equal to an orange?

The answer is apparently, 'Take them both to Summit Point'.

That is the answer.
I figured that Andrew's new can't-get-enough-928-eye-candy high res. photo thread needed a bump. I'll put it here as well:

That GT3 would have been much further back, even in the "slow section" if I was wearing the nice new slicks like he was

No contest in the straights, my car can really pull (well it use to )

After about the fifth lap or so, the red 911s, that were on your ***, were falling further back behind you. And the gap between you and the 911 in front of you was noticeably closing after each lap - and then we didn't see you come around.

We need to get you those $5,000 shocks. Funny how that's as much as some 928s sell for.
