Well. Just got some TOP SECRET news. John, better bring another new set of rubber. You will probably need 'em! The paving trucks arrived this morning!! No Mo Slippery Point! Yes, Im excited, as usual, SP will throw a bunch of heavy turrd cars on the new pavement immediately after it is paved. >( Why cant they figure out how to do a quality pave job the right way!! Argh!

You joking right!? New pavement before a race?!!!
My good used pair of tires didn't happen, so I have 6 Hooosier's in various wear states and a fairly new set of Toyo RA1's.
Hope the Hoosiers last the two sprint races and then over to the Toyo's on Sunday for the Enduro unless someone scores me a good used set over the weekend.
Just can't do $1400.00 for a new set of rubber at the end of a season

Well. Ive known Bill Scott for many many years. My past experience is that he never does anything when its supposed to be done. So, I just called the office, thay said the trucks DIDN'T show up today. Im waiting for a call back but if the present followes the past, it WILL be postponed!
By the way, the forcast is 85 sat/86 sun. NEW Update, NO chance of rain!! Woo Hooo! SP is a VERY odd place, they have their own weather, but it looks like even that is positive clear!

Based on the weather it looks like I'll be racing in the Sunday Enduro.
I have one fire suit and helmet.Need a pair of race golves.
Does anyone have a fire suit that can be used for the enduro pit stop?
The requirement is a fire proof suit (a flight suit is OK for this operation),boots, helmet and gloves.
With two people over the wall I can take a 2 min water break instead of holding the fire extinguisher during the fueling.

John,
For a flight suit, do you mean like a green jump suit from the national guard? I didn't know those were fire proof.
If so, I think I might have access to one. I'll check on it.

Yep if they are the green Nomex flight suit. Not good for racing, but approved for the pit stop.
Also better than just jeans and a long sleeve shirt during DE's.

I go one off of ebay a few years ago. It is a bit "small", 40 long.

I can provide motorcycle racing Kevlar/Carbon fiber boots and gloves but the boots are difficult to "shuffle around" in. They are designed to be stiff and protect in case of a pavement nap at 150 MPH, unfortunately I can prove that they are effective!! X(
AND if Mike gets some of that extra stuff for Tomcat, Ill bring a couple helmets too!

Tomcat,
That would be unethical and more importantly way too obvious.
I think JV just needs for the gods of speed to smile on his car and make sure it keeps running the whole time and no one bumps into him and we won't have to worry about the other drivers.
