Here are a couple of shots of my 88 Felsengruen. These PO pics helped seal the deal. Got to love it!

Just a little note...I have seen Sam's Lagoon Green Metallic car at SF05 and I have to say, it has to be one of the best colors ever to adorn a 928! There are no pictures that can do this color justice! Just a downright BEAUTIFUL color and it makes the car truly look like a ridiculously expensive European GT car!

Talking Moss Green is Rare

Moss green is quite rare. BlackShark has a really fine example of an 81 Moss Green competition package, which predates the S. It is like the 86.5 above. Oh my, an 86.5 with the Brembos and moss green. That is nice.

Macfly:

Rescued the Shark from a life stuck in Bangkok traffic. Down here in Phuket we essentially have no speed limits and some very nice roads. The new highway 44 between krabi and suratani is 120km divided 4 lane that runs through the limestone "james bond island" landscape and palm plantations. Its about as beautiful of a run as you could ask for.

Even if the police do pull you over its only at a checkpoint and they generally just want 5 bucks for some beers.

The real problem is the other drivers who obviously dont expect you to be overtaking at the kind of speeds this car is capbable of. Extreme caution required.

So to answer your question yes, the shark gets to stretch her legs quite a lot.

First time I saw my Amazon Green GT, in the PO's garage it looked leaf green. Since then it has looked all kinds of shades of blue, green, gray, black. Here are two from 2006 Sharktoberfest and another from the PO when he was selling it. Difficult color to shoot in all of its moods. And yes it does look blue alot of the time also

Default Krabi Limestone Peaks

Macfly,

You can see this is the perfect place for a green 928 gts to prowl.

Just cant wait to get her back. Been away for a major preventative maintenance session in Bangkok.

Dennis, that looks absolutely awesome! i wish i could drive on roads like that. guess the closest thing i have is the Merrit parkway in connecticut. maybe some of the roads in new hampshire or vermont or in the pacific northwest look similar. hope you get your 928 back soon. as for me, i havent even driven mine yet! bought it last month but its now sitting at my sister's while i am living out of the country. wont be able to drive until november when i go back home for a visit.
sigh.

Oak Green and, particularly, Nite Green make me think of BRG, British Racing Green, in its best exemplars.

Cool Nile green - not from Egypt...

Here's one from Germany, called "Nilgrün metallic" on a 928S4, MY 88.
Very nice colour in my opinion!

There are two Oak Green Metallic '78 in Finland and one Oak Green non metallic '78. Porsche color maps don't know this non metallic version AFAIK. Car should have had original paint until recent respray. Checking paint closely it was found out that one early seventies 911 green is very close or exact same color. Can't recall its name but it was not Oak Green.

This is one of two metallic versions. S wing is obviously later addition.

Quick Reply: Is green a rare color for 928s?
