Is green a rare color for 928s?
just saw RJ777s amazingly beautiful granite green 928 and noticed that , like blue, i have not seen many green sharks in pictures. was this car not made in that color much? seems we always see red or black with little in between besides silver.
would this be a good time for a green 928 roll call thread?!
post it if you got it.

I don't know how rare it is, but Adam G. has an 86.5 in Moss Green Metallic. I love that color! I wish I could have found one in green, but my priority was more mechanical and it had to be a stick. I couldn't be too picky about the color.

Thats because it is blue. I think they needed a green in the line up and decided to call it Amazon green since they already had several blues. Both my cars look blue 70% of the time with 15% black and 15% green. Still a fantastic color.

Red ,White, Silver, and Black are the most common colors in the USA. The vast majority of the 928s were built on speculation and shipped tp the dealers to be sold , few were special ordered. So unusual colors were seldom used since they might be harder to sell to most people. Same with interior colors black and tan some light grey but Lipstick RED !!! never...In Europe few bought off the rack but ordered cars as THEY WANTED THEM with the features important to them.

My '88 S4 is Lagoon Green, which appears more light blue than green. It's a beautiful and unusual color. I know of only one other like it, and it is in Australia. Interior is green-grey with linen leather and carpet.

oak green metallic
Hi All,
My shark lives in the tropics, Phuket Thailand, so the nice deep green works really well.
Not a great photo but you get the idea.

This color has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it. It looks different depending on the light. Flourecent lights, direct sun-light, or outside on a cloudy day all make the color morph slightly.

Oak green is a beautiful color. I don't see many Porsche's painted that color in any model.
I will post a picture of Amazon in this picture it looks a little more green than usual and like any of the special order paints it needs to be seen to be understood.
