David, I have a question for you regarding the 8"/H4 swap on my 84. You mentioned that I already had the right bulb connector (I haven't looked/forget what it looks like).

Am I missing anything (other than the bulbs)? The H4's appear to have a pretty good size hole in the back for the bulb.

Does my connector fit right on/provide the proper insulation?

you can see from these pictures how big the base of an H4 is.

the bulb goes in the light (one way) and is held in with a spring clip. then a cap seals the bulb in and your wiring connects to the prongs. (been a while since i looked at them...)

Thank's David. Does anyone know about Bosch's (OSRAM) H4 Cool Blue bulbs. I stumbled on them while researching bulbs. See link.

Thumbs up

To John V and all. I'm satisfied with the headlamps. The bulbs turned out to be seperate (which is good). This allowed me to research them (H4 Bulbs) and choose.

The following link helped me choose the bulbs:

<a href="http://www.roversnorth.com/wwwboard/messrr/47823.html" target="_blank">http://www.roversnorth.com/wwwboard/messrr/47823.html</a>

The following link is where I purchased the bulbs (Hella 78150):

Here is where I bought the Bosch 8" H4 headlamps:

<a href="http://www.bowwow.ca/contact/headoffice.htm" target="_blank">http://www.bowwow.ca/contact/headoffice.htm</a>

I spoke with a guy named Jeff. The part # is 34-1305333904

Tel. 604-594-4300 (They are located in British Columbia)

They don't keep them as part of their stock, but they can get them. The whole thing took a week from start to finish.

Good luck!

And now you can put in some REAL bulbs . Over here they sell 230/190W H4s, and double pole 30A relays. Not for road use of course. Just for cooking on. Hey, maybe thats why they park almost level?

Question

Did anyone (other than myself) pick up a pair? Mine look fantastic! They perform great and they really clean things up (regarding headlights and appearance)!

They sure look great on Patrick's car and I'd like to figure out where "JPitman" gets those HUGE lamps to run in them. Is ther anything else needed to install them into the headlight buckets of my US spec. 86.5 car?

Anyone else have trouble with this rfelated URL??

Sorry guys, I thought the location of Riyadh would tell you Saudi Arabia. The big wattage bulbs come with a small tang to stop them going ina std socket, but that snips off in a second. Anybody want a small Care package sent? I think they go for about $8 each. I am surprised you cant find them somewhere there. Just need to uprate the wiring, and/or fit some relays.
