Default Front S Spoiler - flat or satin black?

I have a replacement, but it's been painted a shiny graphite. I plan on redoing it with bumper paint, but which hue of black?

Thanks,
Matt

Geez Matt, take a breath!

You've been working on that thing nonstop for almost a year now. Take a break! (you're making me look bad).

BTW- my finish is... cracked and broken in about three places. Ground flat on the bottom and missing a brake duct.

It looks flat, but that's probably because it's beat to he!!.

Mike, I didn't even bother registering my car until a week ago, so at least you got to drive yours. And I started at a much lower point than you.

Actually, I think you have done more than me, I've just spread mine out more. And it took me three tries to get the TB job right. But now, with the engine issues largely solved and the new pipes, things accelerate because it's way more fun to work on something when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Still to do:
- new brakes
- new tires
- new shocks
- AC
- install front spoiler
- resolve tail lamp sensor issue
- recondition leather interior
- fix hatch alarm issue
- fix fog lights (relay)

So, I have miles to go before I sleep.

I don't know about that. Mine still needs most of the things on your list. The difference is some of us have a lower threshold of 'road ready'.

My TB/WP took me two tries and I'm still not sure that the tensioner gasket is sealed properly. That would make at least three to get it right.

But in the meantime, I've got my hands on the wheel

I don't think either of you had one that started as bad as mine.

And it's certainly come a long way over the past year.

JHowell,

Hands down, you win. That is one hell of a project you've got there. I thought you were exaggerating about the original condition. wow.

I started with nothing but three wheels. No body, interior, engine, wiring. I had to make that all myself! And I have no hands. Or eyes.

Clearly, Mike and I are out of our league when we talk about the work we've put in. Heck, people wouldn't be on this list if they weren't ready to roll up their sleeves, and I'm sure there have been some disasters that were salvaged. Yours has to be right near the top for labors of love, though.

Actually this is a picture of when I first picked it up. So it looks better then the first picture I posted. The first picture is when I started stripping layer after layer old paint. It was also at a low point when I had to stop working for a few months because I ran out of space.

Now in this picture I'm posting here, this was the day I first picked up the car. It doesn't look too bad, but looks are deceiving. We were worried it wouldn't run long enough to get it up on the trailer. The first interior picture was what it looked like the day I got it. The problem with this car was extreme neglect. 98% of the parts were there and in their proper place. The problem is that the car sat for so long (outside) that everything had deteriorated and become inoperable, seized, etc. So in addition to the normal stuff that one would buy to freshen up one of these things I've had to buy a lot of stuff that some basic care would have preserved. But I'm now waiting for a 30lb box of stuff from 928 International to arrive whenever UPS shows up. That will have most of what I need to get this job about 90% completed and just maybe, in 2-3 weeks I'll have it together enough to take my first stab at a MD safety inspection and registration.

I'm so going to lose my shirt on this.
