Hey everyone!

A few of us from New Jersey have been talking about having a GTG on the Jersey Shore and we're thinking Saturday 9/15/07 would be as good at time as any.

We're hoping to come up with a place to meet (like a diner), get some late breakfast or early lunch, and then have a little fun drive up Rt 18. Adam G. and I will be putting it together, so if you're interested, please let us know in this thread. We figure the whole thing will probably go from around 10:30 until mid-afternoon.

PS- I'm working on a little 928 themed competition (not a road race), but first I want to know how many people plan to attend so I can figure out the logistics.

As we used to say in Texas, "God willing and the creek don't rise", I will be functioning once again from my neck injury (epidural injections start next week)and in some way or another, my shark will be roadable, albeit without air, yet (Mike knows what I'm referring to).

Hey Art,

I was just responding when I saw this. Watch this thread for details, looking forward to filling a parking lot with some local 928s! Also maybe we'll start the fun drive with a little cruise along the beach. That should turn some heads!

One hurdle out of the way; got the coolant leak fixed, so the car is drivable. One more hurdle left and we do an epidural procedure on Monday, the 27th. If that sufficiently relieves the pressure on my spine, then I'll certainly be at the GTG. Hopefully, no one will be too embarrassed to drive next to me, as I'm not getting the scratch on the side of the car fixed until October.

Rhys, you can park next to me. My car only looks good from certain angles. If we plan it right, then from a distance they'll both look nice. I'm glad you got the coolant issue fixed, I hope your back is OK. Now that you've got it running OK, we'll have to set up a tech session to troubleshoot/swap out that AC blower for you.

I still have to work out the details with Adam G., but if I can get a rough count of how many people/cars we'll have it will make it easier.

I'm thinking of awarding a prize for the person who can get out of their car, run around to the CE panel, and find and replace a blown fuse the fastest using only the tools in their car. How's that for a 928 specific activity?

Ha ha! Funny! Well, if Kevin and I make it, we will be bringing both 928s, so count two for our reservation. Plus two kids.**



(**I suppose kids and 928s are almost the same thing. Both are expensive and needy dependents!! )

what time are you shooting for? for me, its about 2+ hours to get to Pt Pleasant.
