Default passenger hatch button release wiring

I have an 86.5. I set about trouble-shooting the passenger side hatch release button, which was nonfunctional. When I pulled up the hatch pull button floor housing on the passenger side, I found the radio amplifer transformer with 2 wires attached to it and about 6 disconnected wires with female spade terminals. Nothing was connected to the hatch pull switch, and I suspect that two of the available wires are intended for the pull switch. Does anyone know what color the correct wires should be?

Thanks

Mike

I think the 2 wires your looking for have a black insulation mand as Bill said they are BnR the insulated wire harness may make it easier to find the trick to removing the switch connectors is to slide the plastic end covers back slightly then they should pull right off
