There was a discussion on this not too long ago. At the end it became apparent that different year 928s have different size fan pulleys so some cases a 19” is the right one and others it’s as big as 21”. Your best bet is to buy one of each, install the one that fits and return the rest. I believe the best belts for this the lawnmower ones, they don’t stretch as much as regular automotive belts.

For those who have removed theirs, have you had any problems with emissions?

Hi,
I got rid of mine. Got a 21" belt from Lowes. It was a lawnmower belt but works fine. My pump is like new and you are welcome to it for the cost of shipping if you can use it. It is from a low mileage 79 Euro. I love not having it. There is so much more room now. I removed mine and plugged the pipe going to the opening at the back of the heads.

Best of luck,
