Ok but then where and by what do these molecules get read or detected by? The entire claim by Bosch seems a bit voodoo to me. If someone can explain how this actually works as a system, I would greatly appreciate it.

Am I missing something here? The article in the link is nothing more than an explanation of how actually the O2 sensor works. But says nothing about the wire (wire coming out from the end of the sensor) and anything about O2 molecules in it. Figure 4 item 3 or figure 5 item 7 is what’s debated here, not the operation of the sensor. Most people here are familiar with the O2 sensor generating a low voltage current that is then sent to the ECM. The debate is if the connecting wire has, what Bosch claims, O2 molecules traveling inside it.
