Dave,
It seems that on this forum the images have to be
stored on a web server somewhere. If you don't
have a web server handy, there are several
organizations that provide "free" web hosting. I
have a site on <a href="http://geocities.yahoo.com/home" target="_blank">geocities</a>
(bought by yahoo) that's free. You can upload
the photos there, then you should be able to point
to them on this forum.

Dave,
I guess Yahoo changed their policy on 4/2/02 and
won't let you embed links to photos on they're site.
So you'll have to find another web service provider,
or join the rennlist. You get a "free" web account
with your membership.
(I did change the embedding to a link and that
worked)

Dozman,
My ISP gives may personal webspace. need FTP software to transfer the files from my drive to the webspace. The names of folders are sometimes very specific depending on the ISP.
Check on your ISP's homepage first and see if they give you space. If they do, there is an address on their server whic you ftp the files to and then on rennlist, when your'e composing a message, ther is a "image" box near the gremlins. That is where the address for the pix is posted.
Whew.
Either way, WSFTP is a free program for the file transfer protocol. You can do a web search and see how it works.

I followed Randy V's instructions to post pics (see 79 & 95 928s on BRP at SITM 02), it worked great. If I can do it, anybody can. Thanks Randy.

To post a link to your MSN slide show,
http://photos.msn.com/viewing/album....OBtKIbVP19X1M$
do this:
Compose or edit a message click "URL" box below the body a bar will come up asking the adress of the URL. Open another browser and go to the MSN slide show that you want to post. Highlight the URL address. (HTTP address at the top) Highlight that address, (single left click the address) when it is highlighted, press control and C together (cut feature) then switch to the browser with the rennlist message you're composing and click in the URL bar you have opened and pres control and V together (paste feature). Press enter. It will ask you for a description of the address. give it a name. Then finish your message and post it.
To post the image here:
dozman's seat:
do this:
when composing the message, click "image" box below the body a bar will come up asking the adress of the image. Open another browser and go to the picture in the slide show that you want to post. Right click the picture and look at the URL address. Highlight that address, (hold shift and left click the area of the address) when it is highlighted, press control and C together (cut feature) then switch to the browser with the rennlist message you're composing and click in the image bar you have opened and pres control and V together (paste feature). Then finish your message and post it. You can post up to eight images per message.
It's a trial and error thing but once you get it it works good.
