Default Need some help... Need an assembled car measurement

Might be kind of tricky.

I need to know within a few mm how much space is inbetween the top of the transmission on a 5speed in the early years and the underside of the center tunnel - another words the clearance there above the top access plate on the trans.

Can anybody do that for me? I need to put a cooler fitting on the trans, and the input could go on the very top plate point at the back side of third gear (not adding liquid to the mesh area, but after in rotation). But I don't know how much room I have there, and installing the trans and TT up with the cross member is something I want to do... ONCE.

Thanks!

BC,

What are you trying to do? Wouldn't it be easier to access it from the side of the transmission? Or just off center?

I want to drop the fluid from a fitting just over third gear.
