SharkTuner for 85/86 32v LH and EZ-F
The SharkTuner is now available with an upgrade to remap the LH of the 85/86 32v cars in addition to the existing the LH/EZK 2.3 of the >87 cars.
Many thanks to both Louie Ott and DR who both evaluated the first two upgraded SharkTuners, and also my partner is this project, Niklas Kampe the software genius
Louie and Dave discovered the couple of little "deliberate errors" we left in there
Dave has used the upgraded SharkTuner (called LH2.2 SharkTuner) to tune Shawn's 32v twin screw car :-

I am completing some updates to the User Manual for LH2.2 but will send a copy of the current version to anyone who sends a request to the email link from my website. When the updates are complete the User Manual will be available for download from my website.
The LH2.2 SharkTuner also includes some important enhancements to the standard LH2.3 SharkTuner. These include 4 programmable data inputs for external sensors such as boost, intakes air temperatures and so on. These can be observed and data logged in real time. In LH2.2 mode, three of these programmable inputs are available, the 4th one is used for the display of temp 2.
The WBO2 law is now programmable to match WBO2 systems such as Zeitronix and PLX whose laws can't be changed to that required by the current SharkTuner.
The price for the hardware and software upgrades is 500USD additional when a new SharkTuner is ordered, or 600USD if modifiyuing an existing customer's unit.
There is evidence that the 85/86 cars were very conservative in their igntion mapping, because of the lack of a knock control system. There are some gains in mid range respsonse and top end power to be made here, we believe. So our current project is the SharkTuner for the EZ-F for these cars.
The LH2.2 SharkTuner will also tune Euro 16v cars, MY85/86.

Yes, if you fit 30# injectors as DR has with his twin screw kit, you should be able to fuel OK without any other changes.
At present the LH2.2 SharkTuner does not support larger than 36#, or SuperMAF. We may be ablel to add SuperMAF support but the problem is lack of code space in the small EPROM used in these controllers.
Because there are very few of the Euro version of 85/86 32v in Europe, let alone supercharged ones, then we will assess the feedback from customers in N.America to see if the SuperMAF is a definitie requirement.

I have attached JPGs of the very 1st full dyno run after doing some cruise map auto-tuning and then 5-10 minutes of WOT auto-tuning to 12:1...
The next JPG shows the second dyno run that was done a few minutes later changing the Auto-Tune settings to 12.5:1
We made it this far with less than 2 hours of driving/tuning on the dyno with a completely new induction system. We kept tweaking even more for another 3 hours until the Auto tranny said it was time to go home :-)
While at first glance to the average guy it may not seem a big deal to get that great of a A/F ratio "line" so quickly by remapping the stock computers. But consider this is with a completely new and different induction system from the filters to the cylinder heads. New Intake manifold, different throttle bodies (and more of them), 2 MAFs, etc etc. The induction system is nothing at all like what the stock computers were made for, even if you forget about the boost.
This just shows what can be done with the SharkTuner LH2.2 on a very modified induction system, AND this was all done using the Auto-tune Features with no manual tweaking at all (yet).... pretty amazing!
Once again GREAT WORK JOHN and NIKLAS, now get me that EZF part so I can make even more safe power !!!!

You are correct that all the Euro 16v engines M21/22 use the same twin dizzy motor.
However the 84 Euro 16v has a substantially different version of the LH2.2 controller to that fitted 85/86.
The 84 controller may be able to be upgraded to 85/86 spec, but that is not something I have addressed yet. It depends on market demand.
You can of course fit an Euro 85/86 LH in an 84 Euro with no car wiring harness changes. That is the simplest way to go at present.

Stock 85/86 32v M43/44 is rated at 292HP crank.
Add an X pipe and you can pick up an easy 20HP or so. Then it may be worthwhile optimising it with a SharkTuier

I've got crossovers and an Autothority performance chip. Would I stand to gain any benefit or would it only help if I were going with an SC or changing something more drastic.

I can't say, I have no experience of these cars as they are like hens teeth over here
You would need to asess on a dyno, or a datlogging setup on the street whether the fuelling needs remapping through the range. Then make a decision as to whether to SharkTune.
You would almost certainly get some improvements in drivablility and maybe some top end power, but not much.... a few HP.
