O'H MY GOD!

That is one yellow car! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> Looks like the rear tail strips were painted on...you think?

It's not but 10 miles from where I live...holler if someone is serious about it and I can have a looky-see.

For it's condition...it's way way over priced...just my opinion though...nothing more...nothing less <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Earl Scheib custom paintwork there.

That said, if I found that 1 GTS in yellow I would try and beat Chuck Z to the punch and get that. Now that would be a real unique car.

A quality "custom" paint job is 3-5K, around these parts. Be prepared to be "Sharkless" for 3-4 months.

Would you believe sticky tape? I don't think the stripes were included in the cost!
Y'know, the car actually looks good in that color IMHO.

Oh my , it makes me crazy when they paint the mirror rubber base gaskets , headlight squirters , windshield squirters , etc. And yes Earl does have yellow paint , red too . I have to wonder what it looks like under the hood .

Right on, Jim! I just wanted to write about the items with "extra paint" (maybe that's what he calls "custom"???

I like the fact that the car has no side moldings. But look at that interior!

In Germany we would call a such car a "blinder" - one that looks good from a distance, but you hvae to be blind to not see that there is no substance to support that first impression...

Jim, I agree, that's the difference between "custom" and quality. Anyone can shoot the paint. Prep, prep, prep, makes the difference. Dissassembley/reassembley = labor/man hours. Then, there's the parts that should be replaced. How many primer coats applied and wet sanded? How many coats of paint and more sanding. Clear coats, ect. Paul, I paid $2300.00 for my son's Bronco II at Larry's Paint and Body here in Rockport last year. I did most of the prep along with new front fenders, bumper, grille, headlights, turn signals ect, ect. They did a very good job for the money. He had a fender bender a month ago, and the Insurance adjuster for Allstate wanted to total it for $1800.00 damage (the other guy's insurance). Larry's made them drive down from San Antonio to see his truck. He authorized the repair when he saw it wasn't just another 89 Bronco II. If they hadn't insisted he see it, I would be out several thousand for the restoration. I was going to have them paint the Shark until the head gasket job interceded.

Cool

Window seal was a nice touch .
And, Say! Is that authentic electrician's tape covering a hole in the rear seat lower cushion?
Spent a lot of time detailing I see
BTW Ithought you could get an extra 2mph -top end- if you smoothed all protrusions with a nice thick paint job.
If I'm wrong let me know and I'll put the stucco roller away <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Jeez! Other than the fake rear "light" panel, it is not *that* horrible of a paint job!

bcdavis: Maybe not in Southern California... It's kind of like those facades in Universal studios. Once you look behind them there's nothing there!

Just teasing...

Hey, that doesnt look that bad. but then again I agree that they should have taken the car apart before if was painted. as bad as the po messed up my front and rear plastic parts, because they didnt prep them right at least they didnt paint over the squirters

I think before this is all done I will have to have those redone. if I had a nice s4 I might splurge for a nice Chromalusion job in purpleen
