Did you check fuse 9? If it's not that, then maybe the light switch socket is not fully seated. Contact Alan.

It should pull forward enough to do that.
Did you release the two allan bolts from underneath?

Bill,
On the right hand side there are two allen bolts to release.
I am sure you figured that out but just in case.

Your last seven words are the answer. Your dimmer pot isn't hooked up. Either the connections are loose, off, broken, or oxidized. Double-check....

You're posting a lot about a 90 Model car not listed in your signature these days. Is that another one you just "borrowed", that will land you in the dog house later???

I'm worried...

On the 90 you can pop the dimmer out the front w/o having to disturb anything else. It is fed by fuse 9, which is why I suggested that. If disconnected, as Dave C suggested, or that fuse blew, you would have the problem you see.

Figured you would have checked the fuse. Actually, now that I re-read your original post.... the interior lights are not fed through the dimmer like the console lights. And if your cluster lights work then the dimmer is in the circuit. I need to read more carefully.

Well fuse 9 was in fact blown. Thanks Bill

I only have one 5 (amp right) fuse left, and i swapped them, turned the lights on and i could tell the cluster was dim. Allright cool it works, i went to play with the dimmer and i heard a faint click, then the cluster became bright and the dimmer does nothing so i assume i blew it again.

I guess the dimmer switch is causing a short somewhere? Can i throw in a 7.5 fuse, or do i not bother, just buy the 5 and find whats causing the fuse to blow? will the 7.5 work as a temporary?

Don't overfuse it. You can pull the switch out the front and take a closer look at it. Or you can remove the knee bolster and see everything behind it more readily. Maybe you pinched a wire back there when you reinstalled the pod.

pod is still out, so is the bolster, the switch is just dangling.

What should i be looking for, an exposed wire, or a kinked one?
