Default Could I be selling?

I've had 2 Porsches for a while and have not really used them enough to warrant having both. The trouble is that i like the power and uniqueness of my 928 but I love having the top down in my S2. I do not like 928 convertibles, and there are no other cars I can think of that have the best of both of those worlds that I like. I just won a 968 cabrio on Ebay, and while it's still no 300+ HP beast they do have good power, I am considering living with it as the only fun car in my fleet.

I tell myself I can always get another 928, I'd prefer a 5 speed (928GT maybe) but my diamondblau early S4 is pretty special. It'd be tough to let go.

It'd also be tough to get it ready to sell. I have new front shocks I should install, I bought engine mounts, not sure it needs them but I figured I'd do them while doing the shocks. The head unit should be replaced, the gas pedal is loose, there is a bulb out in the cluster, plenty of detailing to do... lots of work.

I won't know for sure what my plans are until I get the 968 home and see that it's OK, but I might be putting the car up for sale soon.

So, just some rhetorical ruminations, Joel?

I had a 968 cab 6sp for some time. I really did enjoy it, had the typical issues such as cam tensioner, head gaskets, etc.. But it was fun for the time I had it. Very noisy with the soft top design and it did not seal well and had the usual leaks, creaks, etc..that soft tops have but I rarely drove with the top up anyhow. 968forums is a good source of information for these cars. They are a blast to drive for sure.

I've been looking at & keeping a eye on 968 cabs for 10 yrs now. I love the unique look they present. Not so much a fan of the coupe, looks like the next generation 944 that the car is. I told the wife the other week that I still plan to have a 968 cab one day. She can drive a manual, but would prefer an AT for when she drove it in city traffic. I think it'd have to be a manual due to the ATs being somewhat lethargic. It will take just the right car at the right price to make me push the button. Think with only a 5 1/2 year production run makes them pretty special. You certainly don't see many on the road, kinda like a 928!

oops! uhhhh,....Guess thats my "rhetorical ruminations" on 968s eh Randy?

Ok, this is 928 related to this thread. Keep the shark, sell the S4! Wait till you get the 968 cab home to decide on it.

See, I'm just the opposite- I love the looks of the coupes, but without the rear hatch-line, and spoiler, they appear nondescript, and a little "girlish"- not that there's anything wrong with that...

yeah well, I've learned one thing about some of those "girlish" lookin porsches,... sometimes its more fun having the ladies hangin around your car cause they like it, more than a bunch of guys doing so!

Have found that out about having the wife's white 928. Lots of guys have told me they think a white 928 is more of a "girls" color & they would not own a white one for that very reason. Must be something to it cause in the past few months at least a dozen ladies, porsche & 928 owners, & non porsche owners, have said how much they like the white on a 928. In fact at least three ladies my wife & I know have said they'd now consider owning a 928 after seeing her white one & all said they would want a white one too. Not that there's anything wrong with a white sports car either!

True Dat! As for white- Just one look at Keith's reminds me of a Midevil broadaxe- ready to dismember all comers- nothing Girlish about that.
