Floor Mats
At the risk of having my 928 ownership revoked, can anyone tell me if there are any vendors who sell rubber mats to place over the carpetted mats? My stock mats are in great shape, and I'd like to keep them that way so I'm looking for custom-fit rubber/low-pile carpet mats that are more easily cleaned.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Believe it or not...
I paid $50. or $70.00 at Checkers (now O'Rielly's)
Auto parts for a set of mats. 928 monogram on the fronts. Great fit for all four pieces and nice color match, took two weeks.
Dash Mate makes them.
I believe there were several cut pile lengths to choose from.

Devek has the Lloyd's Ruubertite mats on their web site.

Tweeks also carries floor mats for your floor mats. Lloyds, $21.99 for 78-95 928's.

Thanks. The Devek option looks like the way to go. We don't have Checker's here in Canada, at least not in Alberta, and I'm a little hesitant to buy from the generic parts stores in any event. Gieven the appreciation of the Cdn dollar this last week, Devek's price is very reasonable!

One last thing...and a Question.
IMO
I can't remember who had the LLoyd set at the shARAKANSAS, Sharks In The Ozarks -SITO- last summer but I was in a word, unimpressed.
They may offer other pile cuts that I haven't seen, but the new ones I saw were awfully thin, the seam stitching/beading was flat, paper-like, uneven, and baggy. And they looked -again, IMO - plain cheap.
My Question is: Nearly, every advertisment I have seen for the LLoyd 4pc set quoted over $90.00 and that was over a year ago, did the price come down?
My Dash Mates are plush almost to thick in the front but very flexible and the fit is better than the original Porshe set.
As to the generic worries...don't.
They are cut from a computerized reproduceable pattern -can we talk them into a whole carpet set, I wonder?-.
The 928 stitching on the front set was beautifully done. They were going to embroider Porsche on the the fronts but I believe that is proprietary, so I recommended not doing it.
Any auto parts store that sells Dash Mates should sell them and you get to select the pile /loop, and cut from their coded sample board which includes a variety of colors.
Check that price again and do a little shopping.
Good luck on whatever you finally choose as a shiny well dressed 928 is a happy 928.
