My guess is it bounced it's way down and is laying in the bowels of the crossmember. I know it started behind the timing cover in that crevice between the cover and the block, but on it's way down it searched for the hardest place to reach. Sometimes when you drop small parts they defy gravity to get to, "that one spot". You know that place where the upper arm bracket mounts to the crossmember? That's where it's at, probably wedged in a tight area, out of your line of sight, and where you need to be double jointed the entire length of your arm to get at.

$50 order minimum. No $0.65 part sales...

No matter. It's done, and I'll be in business tomorrow. I'll borrow a clip from the other side and finish up the injector swap tonight and then put the replacement clip on tomorrow when I get home. Then, it'll be time for some shark tuning!

As soon as you install the new clip, the missing one will fall to the ground.

Is your belly pan on the car? If it is I'll bet it's somewhere on it.

I was intending to call Roger, but I needed to get an idler pulley for the SCer anyway, so I had him throw that in there too. I will be contacting Roger for my AC when I finally get to that.

Ernest... I haven't run with my belly pan from quite some time now. I think after this winter's maintenance, I will.

How many miles do you have on that idler pulley? From the looks of it, they appear to be a standard part. Can’t you get them locally at Napa, Pep Boys, etc.?

Well the injectors are in. I "borrowed" one from the driver side so I could clip the injectors in on the passenger side. Please remember that I don't have a stock intake anymore, so my method of installation is a bit different.

Anyway, they're in and I'm drinking beer. Tomorrow I'll be SharkTuning barring any issues.

While you're waiting, read the SharkTuner manual several times :-)
