Question 89S4 TPS

Is there a TPS sensor in an 89S4? and if so what is the part #? I can't seem to find one in the parts catalog. How can I tell that one is bad?

It's not a TPS, per se. It is a throttle switch that has an idle position and a WOT range area. You'll see it refered to as a TPS here but it doesn't really sense the throttle position except at the extremes. The PN is 928.606.157.00 for MY87-95.

In order to change the WOT switch must the intake be removed?

C'mon!! It'll be fun!! If I can't fix my problems with a Temp II sensor and vacuum system shake-down, I'll be doing mine too in a few weeks! Think of all those new hoses and gaskets you can replace while you're doing it, and how you can clean out your intake runners, and how well you'll know your engine afterward!
