Dennis, i took my car there with 911 design. It worked out great.
If you have the opportunity to go, i would STRONGLY encourage it.
How is the car coming by the way? Are you going to get the race license and come out and play with us at Laguna?

Mark A & Mark K - I was hoping to make it to Road America this year and thought I could do so when I posted that message 6 months ago. I was planning a cross-country drive on street tires & shipping some R-compounds to Wisconsin, but stuff happens. My engine is coming back together, but it's going to take a little more time.
Have fun at Road America. IMO that's THE best road course in the US.

I am not sure yet whether I will be in DE1 or DE2.
I think they saw the listing "1978 928" and put me in DE2.
They do not know me or this car very well - I have only run one other PCA Chicago event at Road America and that was back in 2003. I am an unknown to them.

Photographer Added
I am pleased to announce we have secured a professional photographer for the event.
His name is Robert Hambley and he does both trackside photography as well as digital art. Digital art is where they take a photo of your car and blend it into the backgrounds of your choice, with logos, brand names, whatever.
The attached photo is a sample.
More samples of his automobile photography can be had by clicking here:

Robert's samples will be displayed in our booth at the event, and he will be available for you on Saturday or Sunday should you want something special done with pictures of your 928.
They can certainly make you a nice piece of frameable art to memorialize the weekend and your beautiful 928!

Carl I don't think they differentiate DE1 and DE2 with speed and experience. Labor day DE is always tricky, two classes instead of four and close to 60 cars on the track instead of around 25. This would be hard to have a clear lap.

My dad and I are driving up from Iowa early Sunday Morning. We plan on staying just that day to spectate and hang out with the 928 crowd. We are staying in Fon Du Lac Sunday evening and may/may not return for part of Monday's events.
