The event is ramping up.... I have gotten my registration (for sponsors) from the PCA already and rented the tent from Road Amnerica.

Put it on your calendar! You do not want to miss this one!

Default Time to Register

If you have not registered already, reserve your spot for the DE days at

www.clubregistration.net

...so they know you are coming. This site does not take your money - just makes your reservation. Registration for the PCA Chicago event is all you need to do - there is no separate registration for our 928 event. (If it helps your understanding - our event is INSIDE their event, and we are not charging extra.)

If you intend to come to the 928 convention but not drive the DE event or race, you do not have to register. Just come and pay an entry fee at the gate.

NEWS: We are setting up a informal race video presentation either at trackside or at a local banquet room for Sunday night. There will be a projector and screen and race videos from Mark Anderson and myself including Pikes Peak. We will provide commentary and anecdotal stories about the races and such while we all watch the races. Should be fun. Be sure to see this!

OK - so if I can run it daily for 3 weeks with no issues, I'll be there

I will try to make it this year. I am scheduled to be in SC through the 31st and my better half may have plans for our return trip that I have not heard about yet so for now the best I can do is a tentative maybe.

The price for admission to the PCA races if you are not racing is I think $10 or less.
The PCA loves spectators - they usually do not charge much for just coming in.
The price for a Drivers Education session is $180 for the entire day.

The event T-shirts have arrived.....

I have L, XL, and 2XL They will be for sale in our tent at $18 each.
Sorry they are not included with your registration - remember we are not charging anything for our event.

If you pay to drive the DE day, you do automatically get a PCA shirt from the PCA.

Default Parking

So far, we have been able to secure the spot we wanted.
See map below.

Just inside the new Kohler tunnel on the left of the Paddock Road.
There are bleachers behind us to watch corner 14 and the pit turn-in, and there are bleachers across from us to watch corner 5 and the trun up the hill to 6.

Concessions are just 100 feet away, and they have given us room for all the trailers and race cars and 928 parking.

Thank you Rick.

However - I do not want to discourage non-racers from coming with their 928s!
You do not have to race or register to race to get in.

Yes - Rick is right - if you are driving the Driver's Ed event, or if you are racing the PCA Club race, you must pre-register.

But - you may also come for the day (and we hope you do) and camp out with us in the 928 Corral, watch the races, pal about with fellow 928 enthusiasts, gawk at the race-preparred 928s, look at the goodies on the 928 Motorsports Vendor Table (please) and listen to Mark Anderson and Carl spin racing yarns. Perhaps Jean-Louis will also tell a race story or too. And for all of this, there is no pre-registration needed.

Tim Murphy, Todd, Rick (neighbor with an 84) and myself will be there for sure. None of us are driving on the track.

I've been talking to quite a few local 928 owners up here that want to go if their schedules will allow.

For anyone that is new to Road America, I've been shooting this place since child hood. So follow me around to get a guided tour of RA.

If we ask Carson nicely, we might be able to peek into the control room and walk out onto the start / finish line tower. Only rule is no black, red or yellow shirts. Drivers coming up the hill might think your a flag. Not good.
