hmmmm I have read stories years ago where a few owners were able to get them replaced free of charge...

Great Job,
I'm in about the 8th month of completely restoring my '79. Engine is completely rebuilt.
Now I'm inspecting the transmisson and differential. You have inspired me.
Who did that interior? It's beautiful.

I did'nt know the balljoints had been recalled by Porsche, do you know if the recall is still in force ?
Incredible job. I can't tell if you are taking the ball joint issue seriously. It would be a shame to see any part of your work ruined by a "catastrophic failure." Porsche's words not mine.

Yes SteeveG , i took it seriously , i know that my joints are like new and i don't push my car too much (with the roads we have anyway). As soon as i finished the 911 i'll take care of the joints. Thank's

GEO928 , the guy who did the interior does that as a living but i had the seats done at another place , because he missed the darn dash where cracks can be seen again , I decided to put white on the seats for the interior to look a bit younger. I'm glad i inspired you , don't stop you'll see it worth it cause it's a PORSCHE !

GMAN , ok i'll go but i don't take beer

Thank's guys for your comments

Am,
That is a beautiful car. I too love white cars. I too have a 79 Euro and love it. I drive mine every day 100 miles or so. As to the ball joints, mine broke on my old 83 while backing out of my parking space at work on my way to lunch. I had driven it to work that morning over 80mph on several occasions. Talking about chills going up your spine. I intend to change mine before the 100k mark. The 83 had 270k miles when they broke. I love the car. I think it needs the black Porsche letters on the back and it would be perfect.
