Is 6-hours to install correct nothing takes 6-hours on this car. Where do you think the H.P. and Tq will end up?

Even if it takes 12 or 24hrs to install, it's well worth it.

As far as where the peak HP and TQ will be is really not that important (at a minimum it will be at least +100hp). I guarantee, you'll like it regardless of the number.

Mark,

My offer to help you install a blower or turbo kit still stands. Now that John Speak has released the Sharktuner for the 85 - 86 cars you should have less trouble tuning.

Fabio

Thanks
I'm getting closer to the edge on this!
The tuner what do you know about it for my 86 seems like there is not a lot you can play with on the old Lh.

PM John Speake. He will be able to answer all of your questions. I think PoPo may have had the Sharktuner used during his install but I'm not sure how much he was involved with that.

A couple more questions:
Looking at Murfs site the 86 kit comes with gauges the members say otherwise.
His video has a Gt with 5-fans ,is cooling a problem?
John S said that no mods are needed for his kit although he just came out with the new tuner.
Anyone going to convince me on getting this????

1. Gauges are no longer included. Too many variations to please everyone.

2. Four small fans are attached to the rear of the radiator in place of the factory fans. The front mounted fan stays.
90+ degree heat stuck in Chicago traffic for over an hour with the A/C on high. Tim's Stage 3 car had zero cooling issues with the same setup. My car uses the same fans, I was behind thim during this traffic jam with no cooling issues. If you car does not have cooling issues now, you will be fine. If it over heats now, fix that first.

3. I'm not sure who "John S" is reguading Tim's kit.

Is the Shark Tuner able to pull timing on an 85/86?

I know that improvement was in the works but have not heard if it was now available.

You can run a superchager on almost any car without messing with the cars computer. Since the shark tuner is available, it's a good idea to use it.

Tim is working on an EZK chip for the 85-86 cars. I was chatting with him about it last night. He's been on the road every day since we arrived back home from the Hell trip. I caught him between meetings.

As far as I know - yes. If not I'm sure John will chime in.

How much convincing do you need?

I have had a stage 2 kit for over two and a half years, now converted to a stage 3 kit. I sat in some wicked Chicago traffic after being on the road for 12 hours, did not go over the last white line on the temp gauge. I (and Murph) have driven the car hard with no cooling issues: the fan setup works.

So far my only downtime has really been for upgrades, stone cold reliable setup. I was comfortable enough to drive 2200 miles in a weekend after bolting on the stage 3 kit parts less than a week earlier.

This was by far the best thing I have done to my 928, and after modding many other cars, it is a pleasure to drive such a well sorted brutally fast car.
If you have any specific questions, fire away here or by PM.

Hey there's Jim.

I'm hoping to close the HP gap between our cars to only 100rwhp soon.
