First, a huge thanks to Mark for hosting this event at his place and accomidating everyone. Also a big thanks to all of the other Michigan people that helped with putting it together. It was really a great time.

It sounds like you missed some of the action that occurred later on. "Lots O smoke" is one phrase that definitely fits though.

Oh yea - WE MADE IT HOME!!! After breakfast the 81 started to spit and sputter, at first thought it was water injestion from the rain. That was ruled out pretty quick, so Z and I started to check everything electricle since my voltage was way down from normal. Did not find any water where it was not supposed to be (like in the fuse box). After a few minutes it started to idle better, air fuel went back to it's happy place at idle (before it was stuck rich, even while driving?). Hit the highway, everything 100%.

More details later, I need a shower.

Mark, thanks again for an excellent event. I have a lot of pics / videos to go through. I'll get to work on them in a little bit here tonight.

Oh yea, take care of my Rennlist banner. I'll have another one made for events in my area. Consider it a thank you for being such an excellent host.

P.S. - CHICAGO TRAFFIC SUCKS!!!!!

P.P.S. - It was great to FINALLY meet some of you guys after all these years. Maybe we can drag some of your asses to cheese land with Andrew in the future.

P.P.P.S. - Lorelei says hi (she picked the smiley)

DaveK, glad you liked the video. It was really good to get to see you again. What A great time and in a really good location. Hacker, Good thing I left Sat. I am now fully recovered from Fri. night. I was so inspired by how the video turned out, that I decided to edit and post the footage from my in-car camera Of the SITM BlueRidge Parkway drive. Awesome audio on it. I will post the link in the SITM thread as soon as it's posted.

Karen and I just wanted to thank everyone for attending this year’s event. We had a great time (especially me) and we are looking forward to doing it again next year. I counted 27 cars around lunch time, and I know we had a least two more arrive (and a few leave) later in the day so I am thinking 29 total. We can safely say that we topped last year 18-20 cars.

Thank you to all those that supported the event, 928 Owners Club, Rennlist, 928 Specialist, 928 International, 928 Motorsports, 928sRus, HookedOnCars!, The 928 Leather Shop, Screems (the ice cream shop in Hell), Andrew Olson (our local instigator and MC), and everyone that helped out during the event to keep the show smoking.

I didn’t take any pictures this year because so may others had cameras. I can’t wait to see what Andrew and Hacker come up with for the video. I know they have some great video footage. All I can say is it was very hot in Hell last night.

Thanks Mark and Andrew - without you two guys this great event would never have happened. Thanks too to Karen Haddlesey!

Highlights of the weekend for me:

1. Caravaning with Fabric, Mike, Tim and Rachel Murphy, and Erik and Lorelei Scharinger.
2. Seeing more 928s than I'd ever seen before - all of which had dedicated and friendly owners.
3. Saturday evening - wait till you see the video. I felt like I had just stepped into an indie film...

Thanks again and Peace,
Tim

Many thanks to Mark and Karen for hosting the party, we had a great time. It was great seeing so many 928 together, and meeting so many new folks. Maybe next time I will get to talk with everyone. As seen in the pictures, there was a great mix of cars (some early cars, some middle and some late), as well as, great color combos. My 5 year old son really enjoyed himself, he especially liked boat ride (thanks again Mark) and really liked dunking people in the "dunk tank". I look forward to coming to upcoming local events. Thanks again to everyone!

Great pics, thank you for posting.

Maybe next year I'll find an excuse to get out there.

I know this is a selfish question but any chance this can be placed closer to the dream cruise? Would be cool to get a bunch of 928's at the dream cruise for a cruise down the strip.

The Woodward Ave Dream Cruise has to be an event all on its own.

First off, it would be near impossible for us to park together anywhere near the cruise - let alone cruise Woodward itself. It becomes a parking lot - much more fun to watch from the sidelines.
2nd, There is so much going on during the cruise that it wouldn't be much of a "Shark-fest."
3rd, No one would even look at our cars.
4th, We did have the Helluva-Cruise this year... and I have to say that was pretty cool.
5th, quit being so selfish...
6th, fewer tickets... FOR SURE!

I'm sure I could come up with more, but you get the idea.
