I am so sorry that I had to leave the party so early! Although I didn't get to see everyone, it was good to be able to put a few more faces to Rennlist user names, like Fabric, 84S-in-Chicagoland, and Hacker Pschorr. Reconnecting with those met before was a blast too.

Mark "Sharks," thanks so very much for hosting, and big thanks to everyone else who contributed and helped to make Sharks in Hell a genuine success. I don't know who all those folks are, but I'm thinking of people like Andrew Olson, the 928 Owners Club, Hooked on Cars, and 928 Specialists. I know there are others.

Murph: Thanks for manning the grill; that burger was perfect!

It was really cool having Big Dave drive his car out, and to see Matt finally get his car on the road. He put Chevy SSR mirrors on his car, which was pretty distinctive.

Here's a quick clip of Big Dave showing off for Camboinc and Robert:

Ha! That's not Richard Petty, that's Jack Riffle!

Here's a pic, though the only person you can really see is Auzivision (facing camera, with shades, on near right), Tim Murphy is working the grill, and Sharks is to his left, facing camera, behind grill.

Here's Matt's car, with the SSR mirrors. I dunno if he's on Rennlist...

Big Dave cheesin' at the wheel:

Stan's cool "ES" (with gold BBS) on the way in:

What a great event -- lots of neat cars, excellent food, a plethora of door prizes, and most of all the fantastic people who planned, organized and worked unselfishly to make sure everyone was having a good time. Kudos maximus to Mark and Karen for opening up their summer home on the Chain of Lakes and for their efforts (including a dunk tank!). Andrew (and others) did a knock-down job of pulling everything together and especially the super nice door prizes. Murph and Rachael may get the "long distance award" for their trek from Green Bay (or maybe the guy from Canada?) and Dave K gets the "burnout award" for his impressive tire warm-up technique. As for me I made lots of new friends and will make it a point to come again next year. I believe the final count was 26 sharks. The added bonus was the annual Hell car cruise (and burnout fest) going on up and down Patterson Lake Rd for miles. I've never seen anything like it -- crowds at the roadside putting water on the road and all kinds of cars, trucks and even motorcycles doing huge smokey burnouts, one after another. From Vipers to lifted Jeeps to Camaros to full race cars (I saw one blown/injected Nova that had to be burning alcohol). And I didn't see a single cop. It was almost surreal, but mighty cool. For anyone looking for a great time with great people, this is one you need to put on the calendar for next year. Thanks again to everyone who made this thing happen!!

Nicht Schleckt...BUT!
Der Korrect Cherr-Man method for lining ab der neun-hundert, acht und swanzig model
Porsches is to use a Porsche approved Lazer level ( or a string line from Walmart :<) ).
Failure to comply may result in a visit and severe rebuke from Porsche representatives of the
Ludwigsburg Postfach 1108, Grupe 7, Compliance Korps.
The gathering/frenzy looked pretty layed back and had a good number of 928's who were nice enough to bring their owners (pets). If I live long enough i might get up there one of these years.
Nice looking sHARKs - need a little work on the owners :<) - a relaxed environment, get together, and some fair roads...can't ask for much more -maybe some brewski's- .
Well done.
Kudo's to all involved.

What an awesome weekend! It was great seeing Murph, Hacker, and the Chi-town boys! I'm working on a little vid, but need some input from Hacker. Rumour has it that Murf had a little mis-hap at the burnout contest. I wasn't there, but hacker showed me the video this morning. All I can say is WOW & too bad....
EDIT: Everyone was fine... but there were flames involved! This is the most appropriate emoticon!

Here's some pics from my camera... See you all next year, BITCHES!

Mr. & Mrs. Murph!

Hacker and Mark (our host)

Murf and Z

Chirs from Chi-town (fabric) showing us this year's new hat fashions!

Me chillin' with the Murfs!

Z, Tim, Loralie, Hacker, Mrs. Murf, & Murf singing campfire songs

Thanks again to the OC for their sponsorship!

Sharks in Hell!

This is why Hacker is so popular with the women folk!

I hope this little video turns out ok, since I have never posted one before. If it works- Thanks Chadster. BTW, this is Mark (Sharks), Andrew Olson and Tim Murphy having a little early morning fun with their supercharged sharks.

Lizard, that's my car. Just got them about two weeks ago from wheel dynamics in CA. they look awesome- only problem is that the rims are a bit exposed- that is, they stick out past the tire about 3-4mm. no fitment issues and no rubbing at all but the tire sidewalls angle in quite a bit. they drive very nicely and look great but the exposed rim, particularly on the rears, look a bit odd upon a very close inspection. you may want to poll some of the other michigan shark owners who have seen them to give you their opinion. guys, i wont be offended if you dont like them. ill try and take some pics this week to show you. sorry for the hijack.

anyways- thanks Mark H for hosting and thanks to all the sponsors for donating some door prizes. i won the rear hatch shocks, thank you very much roger!
the event was great fun and the people who attend are terrific. great to see those of you from out of town again (murf, z) and some of the new faces for me (ken, hacker) as well as the rest of the gang. looking forward to next year in hell!!
